What products do you sell?

We sell only 100% cotton, quilting-quality fabrics. We don't stock knit, jersey, polycotton, poplin or any other cotton-based fabric. 

What quantities do you sell your fabrics in? 

We sell our Timeless Treasures fabrics by the fat quarter, half metre and metre. We sell our own Quirky Cottons designs by the half metre and metre. All available options will be visible on each individual fabric. 

Do you sell fat quarters? 

Yes, we sell fat quarters in our Timeless Treasures designs. We don't in our own Quirky Cottons designs due to the irregular width of the fabric. We do however have a lot of remnants available in our remnant category. 

How do I order? 

Please browse our website and add the amount of fabric you'd like to order to your cart. Quirky Cottons fabrics are sold in 1 metre pieces only (unless you are purchasing the pre-order version if available). Timeless Treasures fabrics are sold by the fat quarter, 1/2 metre and metre. If you'd like to order 3.5 metres for example, please add 3 x 1 metre and 1 x 1/2 metre to your cart and it will be cut in one continuous piece. 

Once you have added all your items to your cart, please proceed to the checkout and follow the instructions to pay. You will need to input your billing address, delivery address, choose a postage service and pay for your order. Once you have completed checkout, you will receive an order confirmation email to confirm it's all gone through. Please make sure you check your spam folder and add hello@quirkycottons.co.uk to your list of safe senders to ensure you receive all order updates. 

What are your delivery charges? 

We offer FREE UK delivery on all orders over £60! For orders under £60, we offer 2 services; £3.95 for standard delivery (Royal Mail 48 Tracked) and £5.95 for express delivery (Royal Mail 24 Tracked). Please see our "Delivery" info at the bottom of the website for more details. 

Can I return my items? 

Unusually for a fabric retailer, we do accept returns (even though we don't have to). Please see our detailed "Returns" page at the bottom of the website for all the info. 

Are your fabrics licensed? 

99% of our fabrics are not licensed (including all our own Quirky Cottons designs!) which means you can make and sell items with the fabrics. Occasionally, we may stock a licensed fabric from Timeless Treasures, but we will clearly write this info in the description of the fabric and it will also be stated "not for commercial use" (or similar) on the selvedge. 

How long does it take for my order to arrive? 

We aim to ship all orders within 2 working days (Monday to Thursday). In exceptionally busy periods, we will let you know via social media or the website beforehand, if there will be any delays to this processing time. Delivery will then take between 1 and 5 working days depending on which option you've selected at the checkout. All our FREE delivery parcels are sent via Royal Mail 48 Tracked unless you choose to upgrade to express delivery. 

What should I do if my order hasn't arrived? 

Please allow 10 working days (Monday - Friday) before contacting us about a missing parcel as we can't investigate with Royal Mail until then. If you believe your parcel should have been delivered, please check with any friends/neighbours/relatives that could have taken it in for you. Usually parcels over 2.5 metres will be sent via parcel rather than a large letter service, so please look out for the red "sorry we missed you" card from Royal Mail if no-one was home when delivery was attempted. 

Please also check your email confirmation/order details from your account to make sure you've inputted the correct delivery address at the checkout. 

Finally, please check with your local delivery office to see if your parcel is there. If, after 10 working days, you've exhausted all these options, please contact us. 

I'm having problems checking out on the website - What should I do?

Quite often, if you've visited the website a number of times, there will be issues with your cache/cookies. If you do get an error message whilst checking out, please completely log out of the website, refresh (F5 on laptop/desktop) and log back in again. Please also try clearing your cache/cookies on your device or checking out on a different browser (for example, if you're using Google Chrome, try Firefox or Windows internet explorer and vice versa). You can also try checking out from an incognito browser. 

If all of these things haven't worked and you're still getting an error message, please contact us. Please make sure you have a screenshot/photo of the error message you can send us so we can investigate and solve the problem as quickly as possible.  

Do you sell remnants & smaller pieces? 

Yes, we do sell remnants and smaller pieces. All of our remnants/end of bolts can be viewed in our dedicated "remnants" category when you click "Shop Fabrics" on the homepage. 

How do I join your newsletter? 

Please enter your email address in the pop-up box that appears when you shop. Our newsletter includes loads of fun info each week, showcases customer makes and you'll be the first to know about our new discounts and offers too! 

Do you restock your fabrics? 

Most of the time we won't restock our fabrics, but sometimes with our most popular designs, (especially our own brand Quirky Cottons ones), we're able to run a preorder again. If we know we definitely won't be restocking a fabric or it's now been discontinued, we'll add it into our "last chance to buy" category. We have a very high turnover of fabrics so please purchase it when you see it at the time, to avoid disappointment later! 

My order has arrived and I have a problem - What should I do?

How do I search for a specific fabric? 

Please use the search bar at the top of the website. Please also use the categories we have such as florals, animals, music & space to filter our fabrics. 

What payments do you accept? Can I pay over the phone? 

You can pay via several different methods on our website. We accept debit card, credit card, Apple Pay, PayPal, Google Pay & Amex to name just a few! We can also create an order manually for you over the phone where you can pay via credit or debit card. 

How do I contact you? 

You can either email us at hello@quirkycottons.co.uk, phone us on 07519264890 on contact us via our Facebook/Instagram pages. Please note: We are open Monday - Thursday from 9.30am - 2.30pm. If you contact us outside of these hours, we will normally get back to you on the next working day.
